The event will be held in Cee from 1 to 4 October
The Costa da Morte Tourism Association (CMAT) hopes that the event will be a tourist boost for the whole area
The Starlight Foundation has just announced the opening of registration for the Annual Astrotourism Meeting. As already announced two months ago, this important international meeting will be held on the Costa da Morte, specifically in Cee, between the 1st and 4th of October this year 2024.
50 speakers, 4 conferences and 200 participants
During the days of the meeting, interesting conferences will be held with the participation of experts in various scientific fields, such as Rafael Rebolo, director of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) and researcher professor of the CSIC or Antonia M. Varela, director of the Starlight Foundation and PhD in Astrophysics.
The conferences, for which registration is already open, will be as follows: “The values of Astrotourism”; “Astrotourism: An instrument for sustainability and for climate change mitigation”; “Astrotourism and Local Economic Development”; “Education, Training and Outreach”.
In addition, the VII International Starlight Astrotourism Meeting will coincide with the II International Starlight Conference.
