Dozens of contestants show their skills as photographers to get the #MuraisLarCMAT prize: visit Costa da Morte

Yesterday, December 16, we gave the last of the #MuraisLarCMAT awards, our photo contest on Instagram that seeks to publicize the Costa da Morte through the tile murals of the project “Lar na escola”. The eight sculptures, all theme related to water sports, have been exhibited on the Paseo Marítimo de Sanxenxo (Pontevedra) since early days of summer. Thanks to the popularity of this area, especially during the summer months, the exhibition became one of the main attractions of the central area of the touristical city.

The CMAT, in collaboration with Suministros Lar and with the business association of Costa da Morte APTCM, conducted a social media contest that lasted over five months; obtaining excellent results in participation and word of mouth. The prize was worth bringing out the most artistic vein of visitors: a stay in Costa da Morte for two with breakfast in one of the best accommodations in the region.

Indeed, the contest participation results did not disappoint. Users from all over the Spanish geography and some international visitors have uploaded their photography to their Instagram profile sharing it with the hashtag #MuraisLarCMAT. This was one of the requirements to participate, along with becoming a follower of the profiles of Costa da Morte and Lar Supplies. In total, fourteen stays were distributed in hotels such as Bela Fisterra or Playa de Laxe and rural houses such as Casa de Verdes or Casa da Canle, of which the winners will be able to give a good account until June of next 2020.

Once the contest is closed, the objective with which it was born can be considered as loosely fulfilled: to publicize Costa da Morte among a new public through the attractive project carried out by Suministros Lar in educational centers and non-profit associations.
