The president of the CMAT, Manuel Muíño, will collect tomorrow, Thursday 25th January 2024, the SICTED award as a certified destination.
ZAS. 24/01/2024. Costa da Morte will once again have a prominent presence at FITUR, the international tourism event being held in Madrid from today, 24 January, until next Sunday, 28 January. Tomorrow, Thursday 25th January, the president of the CMAT, Manuel Muíño, will be in charge of collecting the SICTED Award, which recognises the Costa da Morte as a certified destination. Next Friday, the presentation of the promotional video Costa da Morte, Starlight Tourist Destination is scheduled.
The presence of the Costa da Morte Tourist Association will be led by its president, Manuel Muíño, who is also mayor of the town council of Zas. Practically all the town councils of the geodestination will be present at FITUR and all the members of the CMAT Board of Directors will also attend, including the representatives of the Association of Tourism Professionals of the Costa da Morte (APTCM), Pepe Formoso and Damián Álvarez.
The member of CMAT and secretary of APTCM, Damián Álvarez, will attend, together with a marketing professional representing CMAT, the working meetings with more than twenty agencies and tour operators from all over the world, presenting the Costa da Morte destination.
CMAT will present its promotional video at the Galician Tourism stand at FITUR, where you can also find promotional material, such as the new editions of the tourist guides and maps of the geodestination.
CMAT events planned for FITUR:
Thursday, 25 January at 13.30: CMAT president, Manuel Muíño, will collect the SICTED award, which accredits the Costa da Morte as a certified tourist destination.
Friday, 26th January, at 12.00 hours: CMAT will present the promotional video Costa da Morte, Starlight Tourist Destination at the Galician Tourism stand. The president, Manuel Muíño, will make a tour of the projects carried out in 2023. A video will be shown about what the geodestination has to offer, with images of all the resources as well as starry skies and sunsets on the Costa da Morte. Also taking part will be Carmen Pita, director of Tourism Promotion of Galicia; Xosé Regueira, vice-president of the Provincial Council of A Coruña and, finally, Pepe Formoso, secretary of CMAT and president of APTCM, who will take the opportunity to highlight the campaign Meses con R, apuesta segura and present the book by Xan Fernández Carrera Rutas turísticas por la Costa da Morte (Tourist routes along the Costa da Morte).
