The Provincial Council of A Coruña is tendering improvement works on roads in Costa da Morte for an amount of 1.5 million euros

La diputacion de a coruna licita obras de mejora en viales en costa da morte por importe de 15 millones de euros

Deputation of A Coruña has published in the State Contracting Platform the bidding of four improvement works on different roads of the provincial road network as it passes through the municipalities of Dumbría, Coristanco, Laxe, Zas, Malpica and Ponteceso that will suppose a global investment of more than 1.5 million euros.

Among the works that now come out the tender is the road safety improvement project of the DP 3404 as it passes through the nucleus of Olveira, in the municipality of Dumbría, where the extension of the platform will be up to 9 meters and the construction of a path Pedestrian that will involve an investment of 462,313.24 euros.

The nucleus of Olveira has an influx of visitors very important, especially in the summer months, because it runs through the Fisterra-Muxía Way. Also, the DP-3404 is frequently used by pilgrims to access the hermitage of Santa Lucía. It is also a road that has been very busy for the residents, since the nucleus of Olveiroa extends to both sides of the road.
