The Cereixo Towers date back to the seventeenth century and one of their first owners was Pedro Calo de Carantoña y Montenegro. They are currently privately owned. It is a building that is accessed through a semicircular arch door, above which appears a large stone of arms with the M of Montenegro and the symbols of the Novoa, Bermúdez, Castro de Lemos, Soutomaior, Mendoza and Vilamarín families. In the three coats of arms located on the side of this building you can see the wolf’s head of the Moscoso, the hands of Carantoña, the pine of the Caamaño and the tower of Guisamonde.

As for the Church, it is a beautiful Romanesque temple of small dimensions, built in the twelfth century, in which, on the side façade, the stone representation of the transfer by boat of the Apostle Santiago stands out, the oldest of these characteristics that is known.
