The main objective of the construction of this river promenade was the regeneration of the Anllóns riverbed and, at the same time, the creation of a space for recreation and hiking.
The river promenade increased its appeal with the rehabilitation of several water mills in the area, such as As Pezas, Grande de Gabenlle, O Tarrulo and O Formigueiro.
